Fireworks Art
We’re kicking off July with sparkle. Create firework-inspired art using glue and glitter on black paper. It is bright, bold, messy, and perfect for summer.

Squeegee Art
We’re breaking out the acrylic paint and squeegees. Drag, swipe, blend, and scrape your way into a colorful abstract masterpiece. No two pieces will look the same, and that is the fun of it.

Rock Painting
Pick from rocks of different shapes and sizes, then use oil-based markers to create something fun, beautiful, silly, kind, or totally unexpected. Make one to leave in the world and one to take home.

Bring your own book or buy one from our book vendor, then bedazzle away. Add gems, sparkle, personality, and a little magic to a book you love.

Urbandale 4th of July Celebration
Join Art Is Rad and the Urbandale City Council at the Urbandale 4th of July Celebration at Lions Park. This free art event will invite visitors to make firework-themed art by smashing chalk onto paper. It is colorful, playful, and perfect for all ages.

515 Brewing Company Grand Opening
Come celebrate the grand opening of 515 Brewing Company with Art Is Rad. From 2 PM to 6 PM, you’ll be able to pick an orange, paint it, and add it to a community art piece that will hang inside 515 Brewing Company. You’ll also be able to make your own art to take home. Come join the fun and be part of something amazing.
