If you’re new to animating, have never animated before, or are considering an animation career, this is the perfect place for you! Each animation workshop is a 2-hour session taught by a Disney animator and specially designed for 5th-12th grade students. Artists will work on 2 projects while listening to music from everyone's favorite animated movies. The first half of the workshop artists will learn how to create their own animation in their own flipbook to take home and share with family and friends. Some of the animations we will be creating are a bouncing ball, characters walking and jumping, birds flying and facial expressions. The CALENDAR page will let you know what specific animation will be taught on what date. The second half of the workshop artists will learn the fundamentals of how to draw an animated character from a model sheet. Artists will draw in their own sketchbooks to take home. New animation workshops will be added monthly to the calendar so check back frequently.
